What can we (artist) Do for you today?
One of the maybe overlooked parts of Cameesa that set's it apart from other sites, is that you (supporters) are part of the design team. By letting us artist know your ideas and hear your thoughts on style, we can create some great shirts that you would really like. Think of us as your own design team, ready to make whatever you can think of.
I really like to see how artist come up with designs based on a theme, it really shows the creative side.
So I would like to hear some ideas on what you want to see in the shop? Cute? 80's?, Monsters?, Whatever you are into I'm sure one of the cameesa artist would love to have a crack at it.

I'm always partial to astronauts and other spacey things. For example I bought this shirt on threadless a few weeks back because it's awesome.

I like that it's simple and clean and has a cool, laid back feel to it.
What I'm really looking for is an astronaut in the same general style cruising in a pimped out apollo lunar rover.

I love the bulge on the astronaut. So unnecessary and awesome.

Hmm... what about an astronaut riding an astro pop? Would that be acceptable? I think I could swing that.

What about a 'best snes games ever':
super mario world
zelda
street figher
Mortal kombat
???

What's an "astro pop"?
- tpapp157 commented 519 days ago
A lollipop shaped like a rainbow rocket (sort of) that was popular back in the 80's. Maybe it's not such a good idea...

Yeah I'm not so sure about that. A fake vintage advertisement shirt could be cool but that may run into issues. And not just copyright issues. Lollipops tend to be hotbeds of sexual innuendo after all. Could you imagine an astronaut riding an Astro Pop in the style of Dr. Strangelove?
- tpapp157 commented 519 days ago
Lol! You know, I think I like the idea BETTER now that I have the sexual innuendo in my head. See what you've done!

What about a more broad theme?
How about designs that make use of negative space? I love them, as they are always so clever.
Example:

Any other good negative space examples?
- ajcronk commented 518 days ago
Speaking of negative space, I threw this together about a week ago for no particular reason other than that harmonicas are pretty great.

If anyone can tell me who it is they win!
- tpapp157 commented 518 days ago
Bob Dylan. Those sun glasses look like tanning goggles. I don't think he would have worn those!
Only other person I know who wears a harmonica is Tom Petty. His hair is not whispy.
- ajcronk commented 518 days ago
ajcronk wins! I didn't include the ear pieces on the sunglasses which I guess makes them look a little odd. Perhaps I should have. Not to mention his hair makes his head look much bigger than it actually is. But the drawing is based off of a photograph so I assure you that he did wear those sunglasses.

Awesome!! I'll try this Idea ~ but what about copyright issues?
- Oniko commented 450 days ago
As long as it is your depiction of the artwork then it is okay. For example, the fake Nike t-shirts have a wider Swoosh then the actual Nike swoosh; hence, Nike has a trademark on their actual dimensions of the Swoosh and not others.
so go crazy as long as you don't copy and paste their logos/trademarked work.
- kamil commented 450 days ago
I would love to see a shirt that's in the same art style as those shirts.

I love your idea, QuakerNinja, so its a pleasure to throw a theme. I often see beautiful designs here, but they don't represent who I am so I wouldn't wear them as a Shirt. What a better way to see something that reflects who I am than giving you guys a theme?
I'll keep my theme large, to make sure not to restrict the artist's creativity, but I'll give hints to guide you towards my tastes.
So my theme will be "Culture".
And here come my guidelines:
Culture to me is a very broad concept. It can be the traditions of a nation, as it can be an form of artistic expression. Personally, I enjoy any form of artistic expression: graphic arts, dance, cinema, music, literature, comedy, and so forth. That's why I supported "Loud Splash" (I'm always listening to music, almost any genre, and this design scream to the world my passion for it). So I would like to see Tees that refer to some kind of art form, like "take me to your reader" does, or like this one does: http://www.threadless.com/product/1425/Cold_Blooded_Ocean which clearly refers to Hemingway's Old man and the Sea : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Old_Man_and_the_Sea
Having studied History, I do like classics, but I always liked innovation. I love everything that's new, I love contemporary art, dance and architecture that demands that you to bypass what you already know and open yourself to something new. I love abstract art as well (SicXo comes to mind), and I couldn't live without underground music that brings new sounds together.
The theme "culture" can also refer to culture clashes caused by population mixes, as I am very found of all the new and unexpected things foreigners can make me discover.
Alright now, designers, let your imagination flow, get your photoshop going, and draw me a Tee that'll tell the world who I am and what I like.
- Cedric commented 448 days ago
Wow Cedric! Even I am moved to create something and I barely even know my way around Photoshop!

I'd like to see some shirts designed with the female body in mind. Most of these designs are placed in a way that would be most unflattering on a woman with any kind of curvature to her figure. :( It would be nice if there were more designs with the images centred on the breast and not taking up the whole shirt.
