I forgot to note 4 colors, although I can easily set it up so the drips on the top can be done with silver foil... which would be awesome if we can do that.

Yes, the drips need to be silver... or mercury colored to be more exact.

Yay Jaden's here! I'm supporting. I really hope the silver can be used, though. Nice design.

I would LOVE the silver foil. I was playing around with a gradient in that spot to see what it would look like as silver. pretty snazzy.
Posted by JadenKale (The Artist) 327 days ago
Well, if they can't do the silver foil, maybe you could stick the gradient in there. The Cameesa team seems pretty open to doing whatever you want though. If it's at all possible, I'm pretty sure they'll make it happen.

Good to know, Boots! I like to hear when people say they can make it happen.

Love this design...I hadn't yet discovered the other site when it was up or I would have voted for it then. Regardless, I'm supporting now!

In for one. :) It would be cool if they can do the silver foil.

Sorry, Jaden. For some reason I thought that I had supported this one AFTER Gamer Mother printed. Resupporting. I wish Cameesa would send out a "don't forget to resupport these designs" e-mail or something. I'm so disorganized and I have no concept of time.
Posted by BootsBoots 308 days ago
LOL no problem. I think that's a good idea to suggest to Cameesa. I'm noticing that a lot... I certainly lost a ton of support between your shirt and Gamer Mother when they both printed (not to say I'm not happy for the both of you). I'm just giving it time. I have faith in those that really want one that they'll come through and support it in time.

Kamil mentioned that he would work on this a few weeks back. Maybe it's time to bring this up again in the forum.
Posted by tpapp157 307 days ago
Agreed, Tpapp. It's not that I don't trust my supporters to come back and put $10 towards it, it would just be nice, as a reminder, to let users know that while they have a shirt coming (and congrats to them on supporting a winner), that their other favorites are in need of continued support.

Hey guys, I talked to Kamil on this and it looks like we'll be doing Silver Metallic Ink on this (the process is much less expensive than say, foil). So WE WILL HAVE SILVER on the design! If you've been on the fence til now about supporting it, now would be the time to get in on it! ;)

can we get a preview of what the silver metallic ink would look like printed? I have an old shirt that is printed with a silver design, but the silver is slightly sparkly, something like a glitter, though it isnt like someone just glued glitter to the shirt.
if this silver ink is something like that, I dont think it would be a step up from a solid gray or black, so Im a little curious as to what this ink looks like exactly

Good idea, Kamil... in the meantime, I think I've created a close representation of metallic ink. Though, I'd also like to see what it would look like on fabric.
Also, something I wanted to ask: would the metallic ink look more like a shimmer or would it actually be metallic? I'm sure that can be answered with a preview. I perused a few shirt threads that warned that some metallic inks have metal in them (not surprising, of course) but that at times, they can fade or turn. I'm not trying to play devil's advocate, because I'd like to see this print with the ink, but if that's a possibility, I'd want the supporters to decide on whether it would remain or not.
That all being said, I have updated my comp and detail:

I finally joined Cameesa - supporting this, such a great design!

I hope that everyone who was also supporting TGentry's has or is going to go ahead and re-support this. I'm still really, really wanting this to print.
I did my re-support for two. :)

Striking design. I personally like the original black droplets with the thin slivers of white. It give's them more depth. A black droplet with a thin sliver of silver ink might be a nice compromise between the two.
I'm curious, if the shirt were printed today. Which version of the image would be on it. The one with the silver droplet or the original black?

I was hoping to have it printed with the metallic ink as kamil showed under the updated design comp in the thread here. so it would be a whole droplet of silver, not simply a sliver.

I'd have to agree with Sleepy. If I had to choose between full silver, or the original, I'd go with the original without a second thought. I would really suggest doing what sleepy said, and compromising with a sliver of silver.
I like the shirt, it's a great design and it really stands out.. however the full silver droplet on the hat would make me not buy this shirt, or even support for that matter. Either way - good luck getting it printed. Keep up the work.

it surprises me just how controversial 3 little droplets of ink can be.
Posted by JadenKale (The Artist) 103 days ago
It's a very cool design either way, and I am supporting it regardless of what color the drops are. =)

Well, to be clear, it will stay the metallic ink. I'm sorry if that disappoints possible supporters, like Doople, but seeing that mercury is a liquid metal, it only makes sense that I take the option of the metallic ink. I had so much opposition when I first created this last year because we COULDN'T do metallic ink at woot. I remember some people were upset that I tried to use the reflection of mercury, as seen in a photo, to get my desired look w/o the use of a gray ink.
I totally understand that I can't make everyone happy all the time, but I feel that the majority rules here. I think that most of my support has come from the understanding that I was trying to get silver foil or ink from the get-go. So that is what I will be staying with. I appreciate everyone's support and concerns, and I hope that Doople still enjoys what I have to offer, if not here, elsewhere.

It was (actually $820 or $840) but the higher piece: BootsBoots' design, finally printed and 11-12 supporters on this shirt, also supported her shirt with the same money. so when she printed, I lost that $220/240 in my amount.
So basically I need 20 more people to shell out $20
