What do you think about an alternate placement of this design? I think it would look nice if it wrapped from front to back around the left hip. The maroon person and the wave swirls would be on the lower front of the shirt and the green dude and the sun would be on the back.

Maybe removing the box, and adding something to remove the 'plain-ness' as you mentioned previously.
